At HPT the cost of the orthotic is not billed to insurance. The cost for fitting and assessing foot structure to determine the proper orthotic can be billed to insurance. We have stopped billing insurance for the actual cost of the orthotic because the insurance companies would not cover them in full and we were losing money on the transaction. If you have questions you can ask our billing department for a further explanation.
