Ashley is a native of Scott Depot, WV and graduated from Winfield High School in 2009. Her path to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy began when she developed a passion for health and physical wellness in the weight room of her high school. This affinity led her to pursue an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University, from which she graduated in 2013. After graduating from WVU, Ashley began working at the Tri-County YMCA in Scott Depot as a Personal Trainer and Assistant Swim Coach for the West Virginia WILD.
Ashley went on to graduate in May 2020 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marshall University. She was honored with the presentation of the Outstanding Service and Citizenship Award. Ashley enjoys opportunities to give back to her community and loves being able to lend a helping hand to anyone who might need it. She finds similar joy in physical therapy practice and looks forward to helping her patients recover and progress to regain their functional mobility and beyond. She looks forward to seeking a specialty certification in the near future to increase her knowledge and patient care. In her free time, you can find Ashley at a local CrossFit affiliate. She began training in CrossFit in 2017 and has learned a great deal about the sport. She particularly enjoys the Olympic weightlifting and gymnastics aspects of CrossFit. She looks forward to incorporating her knowledge of CrossFit and physical therapy practice to treat other CrossFitters like herself or any other patient she meets to allow him or her to reach their fullest potential. Ashley enjoys creating healthy meals and is always ready to offer up a new recipe. She is also an avid dog lover and enjoys spending her evenings and weekends with her dog, Kalli. |
