Sally Oxley has practiced physical therapy in Huntington for over 30 years. She has been in private practice since founding Huntington Physical Therapy in 1982. The practice has grown from a staff of three to thirty-five in the last 27 years.
For the past 30 years, Sally has been developing her skills in the areas of Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Hand Therapy, receiving her certification as a Hand Therapist in 1995 and certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2002. Her abilities as a Hand Therapist have grown through a close working relationship with local hand surgeons and also hand surgeons outside of West Virginia that refer to her.
Sally also enjoys treating patients with spine problems and in 2005 received her certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, a system of treatment developed by Robin McKenzie, a physiotherapist in New Zealand.
Sally has been on the West Virginia Physical Therapy Licensing Board since 1997 and Chairman of the Board since 1999. She is also active with the West Virginia Physical therapy Association and many local organizations.
