HPT Physical Therapy Specialists is a Private Practice outpatient physical therapy practice looking for candidates for the position of Physical Therapy Assistant. For more than three decades, HPT Physical Therapy Specialists has played a dynamic and comprehensive role in the health care system in the Tri-State area. In this position, you will be able to work with experienced therapists specializing in the treatment of hand, spine, foot/ankle, shoulder, knee and neurological disorders/ injuries. The PTA would have the opportunity to assist therapists certified in Orthopedics, the McKenzie “spine management” approach, Hand Therapy and the LSVT “BIG” neurological program. HPT is equipped to care for any outpatient physical therapy or Sports Medicine therapy needs a patient may have. HPT is “Dedicated to Great Results!” Position Qualification Requirements:
Minimum of completing an accredited two-year curriculum and possessing a current license as Physical Therapy Assistant for the State of West Virginia
Experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic preferred
Strong communication skills in order to maintain professional interaction with all staff, medical professionals and patients
Knowledge of the professional physical therapy assistant standards and practice to provide appropriate treatment to patients
Proficient in usage of equipment and instruments utilized in patient care
Comfort using online electronic medical records systems
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of common safety procedures and precautions to establish a safe work environment
Ability to maintain effective working relationship with staff, medical community, patients, patient’s family members and the public
Understands and will ensure compliance with all local, state and federal health care rules and regulations as well as health care law which relates to physical therapy practice
Possess a caring and compassionate attitude
Cooperative in nature and a willingness to promote the philosophy of HPT Physical Therapy Specialists
Desire to further professional knowledge under the tutelage of highly trained PT’s
Position: Physical Therapist
Huntington Physical Therapy is looking to hire a Physical Therapist to work alongside our amazing staff. The position is for a full time staff physical therapist. You will be one of 6 physical therapists that will practice in this clinic. Huntington Physical Therapy is the largest PT clinic in the area in terms of available therapy space with more than 12,000 square feet. We also have a dedicated sports performance area within the clinic that includes turf fields and a full weight room. This allows us the space to perform virtually any return to sport or return to function goal that a patient could have.
Our staff is young and family oriented. We routinely have staff celebrations, picnics, tailgates, and participate in community events to build camaraderie and lasting professional bonds.
If the therapist is a new grad we will be including weekly mentoring from the clinical director and other staff physical therapists. We will encourage you to participate in a 1 year residency in physical therapy in a distance learning model with periodic offsite training.
