Custom Bracing
At HPT, we measure and fit a variety of braces, depending on the type of injury and/or patient need. The most commonly braced joints are the knee, ankle, shoulder and elbow. Custom braces are primarily used to:
- Provide support in situations of ligamentous laxity/weakness
- Assist in recovery following surgical reconstruction and prevention of re-injury
- Decrease symptoms associated with osteoarthritis
In some instances custom braces are not necessary. If such is the case, HPT has a line of products, often referred to as "off the shelf," which will provide the desired results.
With 35 plus years of combined experience, our clinical staff is ready to meet your bracing needs. If you have questions, ask Mark Taylor, PT, or Kevin Burton, ATC.
